Q: How do I book a Party?
A: Parties are based on a first come first served basis. First, you must reserve your party date and time. In order to reserve, you must complete our contract with a deposit paid by credit card. We DO NOT hold time slots or any type of temporary reservation until a deposit has been made. Q: What area do you service?
A: New Jersey (NJ), New York (NY) and Connecticut (CT). Please call 862-668-7036 to see if we service your area.
Q: I love the costumes! Will those be the costumes you'll wear at the party?
A: Yes! Our characters will only show up in the costumes you see in the pictures on our website.
Q: What kind of payment do you accept?
A: We accept major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, and Discover for the deposit. Balance is due in the form of Cash.
Q: How far in advance should I book my party?
A: Parties book up quickly. Try and book your party at least 6 weeks in advance to ensure your specific time and date. However, we will always try and accommodate last minute requests.
Q: What time can I hold the party?
A: Anytime, every day of the week. Saturdays and Sundays are the most popular, so try and book your party as soon as possible if you're interested in those dates.
Q: Is my deposit refundable?
A: Cancellations will forfeit the deposit. However, you may reschedule within 2 weeks of notice subject to our availability.
Q: What time should party guests arrive?
A: It is recommended that guest arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time with the character(s). This way, guests arrive on time and don't miss out on the fun activities.
Q: What age do you recommend?
A: We entertain children of all ages 1 thru 101
Q: How much do I tip?
A: Gratuity is not included, however greatly appreciated. We recommend at least 20% of the total party package amount.
Q: Where do you recommend I hold the party if I cannot have it at my house?
A: Parks, Community centers, the beach or a family members home are all great ideas if you cannot hold the party at your house. We want to give you the best performance so please try not to hold your parties in extreme heat or cold depending on the costume.
Q: Can we supply your actor with scripts or dance moves?
A: We, at Kids' Costume Characters are not actors. We are costumed character performers. We come dressed in character & our party music is themed for the character you would like to have perform at the party. Please do not supply scripts or dance moves that you would like us to recite or perform. We are unable to do so due to the lack of visual capabilities while in costume & lack of full movement while in costume. We appreciate your understanding.
Q:What type of dances do you do?
A: For older children: Recommended age 6 and up, our group Dance Mix is always a hit! Song selections include the Macarena, Hands Up, YMCA, Electric Slide, Chicken Dance, The Twist, Cotton Eye Joe, Hokey Pokey, Shout, Cha Cha Slide and more! We will help you pick the best songs for the ages you anticipate.
A: For younger children: Ages 1-5, we recommend our children's Sing-A-Long. Example; Bingo, Hokey Pokey, Chicken Dance, John Jacob etc..
